Situated on the outskirts of Ringwood, the club is perhaps one of the New Forest’s best-kept secrets. For over 50 years it has been home to an enthusiastic band of dinghy sailors. Attracting families from all over Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire the Club is used for sailing all year round and offers members a varied menu of gentle cruising, fleet racing, team racing, training and a wide variety of social events. When time is short Spinnaker is the place to sail. At anytime, and in any conditions, you can be on the water with a minimum of delay.

The club offers a huge range of activities. Please take some time to explore the rest of the website for details of all we can offer to members, groups, and visitors alike:

Spinnaker Club Manager:

Sailing on the Lake

The lake is there for all of our Members to enjoy.  By and large there are very few conflicts in sailing activity, but the co-operation of all members is requested to keep the club running smoothly.  Before setting out, please check the Sailing Programme on our calendars page as there are occasions when access to the lake will be restricted.  If, when you arrive, there appears to be an organised activity taking place, please check with the person in charge to see if there are parts of the lake available for use.

If racing is taking place on a day when the lake is open for general use you must let the Race Officer know when you intend to launch. The course will be displayed on the blackboard in the Club House and in addition to not interfering with the boats that are racing you must keep clear of the buoys that are being used as race marks during the race. This is for your own safety.

We also share the lake with Christchurch Angling Club who fish between 16th June and 14th March.  We have a good relationship with the angling club which we would like to continue.  Please be courteous at all times.
