Published 09:22 on 16 Nov 2022
Spinnaker Sailing Club are now accepting applications for 2023!
We have an exciting year planned with a busy programme of RYA Training Courses and regular coaching sessions for our members, an action packed Club Racing schedule and 13 Open Meetings/Championship Events! In addition to these we have a busy programme working with local schools delivering all levels of activity from taster sailing sessions and end of term activity days to long term race coaching and development programmes!
Over the years Spinnaker Sailing Club has developed a reputation for high quality youth coaching and development, with multiple sailors representing the Club at an international level including the Optimist and Topper Worlds! In 2022 2 sailors represented the Club at the Topper Worlds, with 3 sailors at the Topper Nationals, and 1 sailor at the Optimist Nationals as well as regular attendance at a range of other local open meetings and national series events! Meanwhile our schools coaching programme saw Bryanston school winning the Silver League at the Eric Twiname Youth Team Racing Championship having never previously travelled to an event! Not forgetting our adult sailors who have previously won the Team Racing Worlds, and this year we were proud to see a member win the Byte Nationals, before racing in the Endeavour Trophy and placing 11th of 30!
To support our members and sailors in 2023 we are looking to recruit Lead Instructors/Coaches and Instructors to enable the sailing of our members and users.
We have available 2 x Lead Instructor/Coach posts, and up to 6 x Instructor posts. For full job descriptions please see the documents at the bottom of this page
