In Zephyr conditions, Spinnaker hosted the second of the Rooster South Coast Grand Prix events for Laser Standard and Radial on 18 May.  The predicted 2kts for the whole day kept away most of the sailors, but those who made the trip were rewarded with just enough wind that lasted just long enough to run one meaningful race.  Off a single start for both fleets, the Standards were led by Simon Redford (Bosham) but, while he was pressed the whole race by Peter May, was able to hold on for the win. Robert Marshall kept catching these 2 up, but ion each occasion dropped into a wind hole to see the lead re-emerge. In the Radials, Keith McQuillin lost an early lead to Rhys Jones (Cardiff YC) but snuck back in front when Rhys took a wrong turn at Mark 2. Rhys snapped at the transom of Keith for the rest of the race but was not able to find a way back through. Thanks to Mike Robinson and the race team.
